Essential Survival Radio: The “Missing Gene”

Essential Survival Show: MTHFR missing geneJune 3, 2014:  Today Julie shares a recent conversation between herself and Dr. LeAnne Deardeuff, DC about the MTHFR gene – a gene that upwards of 50% of the population has at least one mutated copy of.
Julie found out about this gene at the start of her pregnancy, and began taking methylated folate instead of folic acid to promote the healthy development of her baby.  People with this mutation cannot properly metabolize folic acid and need methylated B vitamins, including the methylcobalamin variant of B-12.
Dr. LeAnne has struggled with Lupus most of her life, and began taking L-methionine recently after learning about MTHFR, and has had remarkable results with her health as a result!
Using these simple supplements has the potential to dramatically impact the health and well-being of half our nation’s population.  For more information on MTHFR, read this article by Dr. Ben Lynch.
