However, the first few weeks of baking with my fresh ground flour left me more than a little frustrated with dense breads and spread out pancake cookies. I’ve now been grinding my own flour and using fresh flour in all of our baking for almost two years and I’ve learned some tips to save you some time.

About Laurie Neverman:

Laurie Neverman has a BS in Math/Physics and an MS in Mechanical Engineering.  She is a wife and mother with a passion for natural healing, homesteading and gardening.  She and her husband, August, homeschool their two boys. They live in rural northeast Wisconsin in a Wisconsin Green Built and Energy Star certified home.

The home has an array of “green” features, including:

  • An Attached Greenhouse
  • Solar water heating and passive solar design
  • Handicap Accessibility
  • Environmentally Friendly Materials

During the Great Depression people learned to make do with very little. We are so spoiled today in our modern society. I’m grateful we don’t know those times, but we take so much for granted. I love having a more frugal mindset because it makes us appreciate what we have more.
